You’ve figured out what you want to do. You have set your goals and have a plan to reach your end goal, but can you do it? Can you commit to the long haul?
This commitment could mean 6, 8 even 12 months. Can you do it? When was the last time you’ve committed 12 months of your time to something? Have you ever committed that long to something?
A year is a long time; you have to take a good long look at yourself and ask yourself if this is what you truly want. Are you going to quit in 5-6 months?
What is your motivation? Can you stay motivated for the long haul? If the answer is no then you have to ask yourself why. Did you quit before?
Why did you quit before? Did you get sick of it? If you got sick of it, was it really that important to you? If something is important to you, then you’ll do what you have to in order to reach it.
This is the long haul now. There is no time for quitting. You have to give it your all every single day. Are you willing to do that? Do this for you.
You have a goal that you are currently trying to reach. Do it for no one else, but yourself. Push yourself further than you ever though you could.
The long haul doesn’t have time for quitters. Figure out a way of motivating yourself. Establish great habits that will help you along the way.
Make it impossible to complete your day without these habits. You have to make yourself do things at times. To benefit yourself, you really have to do all you can to complete these habits every day.
12 months is a long time. Do you have what it takes? You’ll never know if you don’t try. Get out there and make a difference in your life everyday! You’ll be surprised at your progress. Never give up and always strive to achieve more!
Yes anything worthy comes after long time. It needs constant work and practice. On the other hand setting up a long term goal and dividing in short term goals works better.
Make a long term goal and make short goals to reach there. For example to be a good boxer may be a long term goal. Then it need for breakups to many short term goals to reach there. In one week I will better my left jab punch. Work over and over on it. After a week you see result and it gives boost for further goals. Then set up another short term goal may be foot work or right cross punch.
Similarly, if it’s music. At the end of this week I should be able to play this particular lick or song pretty well. Once it happens, set another short term goals. It makes the long journey easier and more exciting.
Using short term goals to help you work up to your long term goals is a great way to get to your long term goals! Thanks for that comment! Thanks for reading!
